Iván Guevara García: Artist Instructor

Iván (He/They) is a Mexican artist studying drama at the University of Calgary. He loves that theatre shows are called “plays” in English because they capture the essence of his work so perfectly. The more we play, the more we discover! He's always excited to push the boundaries of theatre by learning to apply inspiration from others and this never ending quest is what fuels his desire to play!

Iván has Directed Esperanza performed at the Festival of Animated Objects 2025, La Danza de Los Viejitos which has toured Calgary since 2024 and has been part of Verb Theatre’s Queer & Playwriting Unit 2024-2025.
