Iván Guevara García: Artist Instructor

Iván (He/They) is a Mexican artist studying drama at the University of Calgary. He loves that theatre shows are called “plays” in English because they capture the essence of his work so perfectly. The more we play, the more we discover! He's always excited to push the boundaries of theatre by learning to apply inspiration from others and this never ending quest is what fuels his desire to play!

Iván specializes in Clown & Mask to remove language barriers in theatre through the universal language of movement! Directing credits include original work such as Esperanza performed at the Festival of Animated Objects 2025 & 2026, La Danza de Los Viejitos which has won "Outstanding Production" at the Calgary Region One-Act Festival 2026 and performing credits include Lalo & Lola's Clown Cabaret at IGNITE! 2026.
