Quest has seen a need, and teachers have shared an increased desire for more drama education for Junior and Senior High School students – that is where our Drama Workshops come in!

Quest has developed new single day Drama Workshops for students who are eager to dig deeper into a specific theatre skill. How do you understand Shakespeare? What does a director do? What is the art behind theatre design? In our Drama Workshops, Quest will send one of our professional artists/instructors to unpack these specialty skills and give your students a sense of confidence, curiosity, and understanding. These workshops are built to be hands on and empowering for any student to learn the fundamentals of these specialties.

Develop a New Specialty Skill

We introduce many students to a new concept/skill in theatre (ex: few students know what “theatrical clowning” is). We want to leave students with a basic understanding and appreciation of these theatre skills.

Provide Kinesthetic Learning

All topics/themes will provide hands on learning. We at Quest believe the best way for students to learn is by allowing them to explore the task themselves. They can make mistakes, collaborate with others, and find out what their personal relationship is with the lesson.

Hands on learning can look like: Giving them a piece of Shakespeare text to practice in class; allowing them to sketch a set design idea; safely practicing beginner stage combat techniques.

Grow a Sense of Self-Empowerment

Quest is all about making good humans through drama. Junior and Senior High school students are at a prime age to be reminded constantly that they are capable individuals who have a unique voice and ability. These workshops encourage them to explore their own artistic expression and see that they have the power to explore new skills at any age.
