Alexa McGinn: Artist Instructor

Alexa is a theatre artist and art educator based in Calgary.  Cutting her teeth at Fringe Festivals with her solo show, Celexia, Alexa focuses on writing plays that celebrate difference through the lens of wonder and play.  She often writes about neurodiversity, what it means to be human and, less intentionally, space and the cosmos. Found text, music, and movement are core tenants of her creative process and you can catch her wiggling, fidgeting, and sometimes just straight up dancing through her thoughts. When she’s not in the theatre world, you can find her cuddling cats and playing Dungeons & Dragons.
