Online Artists in School Program

With over 33 years’ experience working in the school system, we understand the challenges of delivering quality arts education.  More recently, COVID has brought forth new obstacles, barriers, and challenges to regular school programming as a whole.

Fortunately, we are artists and we have lots of experience in finding solutions and embracing change with innovative thinking! Our new Online Artists in School program uses the joy of theatre-making to support cross-curriculum learning outcomes while maintaining physical distancing!

What does an online program look like?

  • As a teacher, you would request a week from our calendar and choose one of our three online programs: Shakespeare, Creations or Stories. Fill out the Interest Online AIR form to get started!

  • Our team will reach out to you to confirm the availability of your requested date and answer any questions you may have.

  • You will be assigned a Program Leader who will work with your school contact.  Your Program Leader will create a timetable for your school, assign instructors to classes, and break down stories or scenes for the selected program.

  • Work will be completed via an online platform through your smart board at a set schedule (typically 7 sessions of 45 minutes each, over the course of one week).

  • During the week, each class will work towards a 5-8 minute final performance piece.

  • Teachers in the classroom are encouraged to capture the performance in a video so the school can edit together an entire school performance for classroom use or distribution to families. Our team would be happy to offer advice for facilitating this experience if needed.
