Call for Sponsors

We use theatre to help a child explore who they are, discover the world around them, and build the kind of world they want to live in. We achieve this through professional touring productions and theatre-making activities in Alberta schools and in our Calgary communities. We help young Albertans to discover new perspectives, synthesize knowledge and understanding, develop social skills, foster collaboration, build confidence, cultivate emotional intelligence, acquire an appreciation of culture, practice empathy, make new friends, and ignite good old-school make-believe to name a few!

Quest Theatre was founded in 1984 and reaches over 40,000 young people every year. Although other theatre companies in Calgary will produce theatre for young people or for families as part of a larger mandate, Quest Theatre is the only professional theatre company with a special commitment to young people in Calgary.

The gap between what it costs to deliver our programming and what some schools or some families can afford can be challenging. Sponsors and Donors enable Quest to offer subsidies and bursaries so every child can discover the value of professional theatre and theatre-making activities with Quest.

Sponsorship money goes directly towards program delivery, including covering the costs of paying everyone responsible for a production or program both on and off stage such as professional actors, creators, playwrights, designers, technicians, musicians, directors, teaching artists and stage managers. It helps to cover the costs of sets & props, costumes, sound & lighting equipment, and travel & accommodation. Several of our programs also have venue rental, supply & material, and catering expenses.
