Quest Theatre and Making Treaty 7 Cultural Society are excited to be bringing the story of a shared history of the land of our ancestors that include present day events. Touring to Toronto Young People’s Theatre from February 11-22 and touring to Calgary Schools from February 25-April 18, 2019.

Calgary Land Acknowledgement

We would like to acknowledge the traditional territories and oral practices of the Blackfoot Nations, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai. We also acknowledge the Tsuut’ina and Stoney Nakoda First Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.

Toronto Land Acknowledgement

The land we are performing on currently is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. Quest Theatre also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaty signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.
