Quest Theatre began as a partnership between Duval Lang and Rick McNair in the summer of 1984. Since 1984 the
company has produced 84 touring productions and performed to over 1,076,638 young people.
Since 1992, when we
began our Artists in School Residency program, we have conducted over 257 residencies.
In addition, Quest Theatre
operates a Theatre School, Summer Drama Camps and an Annual Youth Art Show.
The company supports emerging artists
and playwrights and regularly commissions and develops new plays.

We have been recognized by our national peers as one of the
most
dynamic theatre for young audience companies in Canada,

for both our artistic and administrative endeavors. We have been nominated for and have received several Betty Mitchell Awards
    since 2000.

The company has been deficit-free and posted surplus seasons since 1993.
In 2004 and again in 2006 we

received an Encore Award from the Alberta Performing Arts Stabilization Fund for Outstanding Sustainable Business Practices
