PENELOPE VS. THE ALIENS! by Chris Bullough & Jared Matsunaga-Turnbull On Tour: Feb 4th – April 18th, 2008 Appropriate for grades K – 6 This play by Chris Bullough and Jared Matsunaga-Turnbull was a highlight of the 2006 Edmonton Fringe Festival and will be part of The Citadel Theatre’s Family series this spring. The play revolves around Penelope, a young girl who is afraid of everything – big dogs, spiders, worms and even thoughts of horrible space aliens from Mars. But when Aliens actually arrive on earth (or at least a young, frightened and hopelessly lost alien) Penelope must confront her fears and reach out to the big dog, spiders and worms to help her save her parents, save herself, and quite possibly save the world.
